Paradise Resort Gold Coast Review

You haven’t had a family holiday on the Gold Coast until you’ve had one at the multi-award winning Paradise Resort.Year after year, Paradise Resort has been collecting awards such as “Best Family Resort in Australia”, and it’s easy to see why.

The entire grounds of this family-friendly resort provides maximum fun for kids and minimum stress for parents. In fact, parents will have a blast too!
From the minute you walk into reception, you’ll breathe a sigh of relief. Immediately, you’ll get the sense that at Paradise Resort, kids can be kids. With an indoor climbing playground greeting kids in the foyer, parents can focus on checking in, without worrying about the kids getting bored.

Accommodation at Paradise Resort
Unlike many other family hotels and resorts around the world, Paradise Resort offers a range of room types that can cater for families of up to 8, which is impressive in itself.
We stayed in one of their themed bunkhouse room’s and they are specially designed with kids in mind, with brightly painted bunk beds, a television and an Xbox 360. Games and extra controllers can be borrowed from the resort.

They also include all the practical items families often need at home — a microwave, toaster, plates and bowls and of course, coffee.
All four accommodation wings at Paradise Resort have been named after the resort’s mascots; Captain’s Quarters, Cleo’s Castle, Astro’s Alley and Dusty’s Digs, who all appear regularly around the resort.

For The Kids
What Paradise Resort offers to kids requires a whole page on it’s own! You’ll be impressed with the huge amount of structured and unstructured play options for kids of all ages.Paradise Resort will get your kids really excited with these fun activities on offer:

There are so many things to love about Paradise Resort’s kids club, Zone 4 Kids Club. It’s newly renovated and offers a well structured, engaging program. Another one of the resort’s rare gems is that Zone 4 Kids caters for the entire 0-12 age group, where many other kids clubs usually cater for four years and above. Here’s an added benefit for parents:

each child receives one fully supervised session every day of your stay, so you can have a break too.
At Paradise Resort, one thing is for sure… your kids wont want to leave… and you’ll write the experience up as a huge parenting win!

For Parents
What will you do while the kids have abandoned you for a better offer? Luckily, there’s plenty to do while your kids are having a blast. If you get bored of laying by the pool (yeah, right!), there are a few options for parents to get involved in some activities. They have designated ‘Zone 4 Adults’ bar area which has a pool table and television screen, so you can sit and have a cold one and shoot some pool. Or you could partake in one of Paradise Resort’s activities for big kids:

Cocktail tasting
Beer tasting (for those who think they know their beers!)
Wine and cheese tasting
Listening to live music by the pool
In-room massage
Murder mystery nights
Are you sold yet?

From a more practical aspect, the resort also includes a gym, well stocked mini-mart, internet facilities and a guest laundry.

Meals and Food
If you’ve been to a kids indoor play centre before, you’d know that they often leave much to be desired with the food they offer. This is where Paradise Resort excels. They provide delicious meals in a family friendly setting, with a family friendly budget in mind. You can choose to eat at the resort restaurant, Bistro Zagames, or the Poolside Cafe & Bar. Definitely try the pizza! Or if you prefer, try out Paradise Resort’s brand new BBQ area.

If you plan on visiting the fabulous theme parks in the Gold Coast while you’re there, Paradise Resort offers handy and affordable lunch packs to take with you for your day. You’ll avoid the long lines and huge costs involved when buying food at a theme park. It’s yet another way in which Paradise Resort demonstrates it’s understanding of what families need and want. They are innovative in their thinking and approach when it comes to helping families experience the ultimate family holiday.
